Join Teens With a Purpose as we sleep out for the homeless to benefit The Dwelling Place’s  at Hampton Roads Night Out. Teens With a Purpose will join many local organization and youth groups to raise awareness and learn what those without a home experience by camping out overnight on the Kaufman Lawn at ODU on Friday, November 22nd.  Teens With a Purpose will have their own team, sponsored by Richard J. Love. We will be providing a warm tent for up to twelve TWP members.
The evening will include:
  –  The Soup Kitchen opens around 6pm for dinner.
  –  The Luminary Vigil takes a moment to come together and reflect on the people affected by homelessness.
  – Camp out all night!  Listen to music, talk with others concerned about homelessness, and enjoy crisp fall night. When the sun rises, we will break bread together once again  before breaking camp and heading home.
We are limiting the  spaces to twelve to camp out all night. But you can attend and not stay all night, must arrange for own transportation to pick you up from ODU if you are not staying overnight.
If you are a member and plan on attending, there will be a permission slip that needs to be completed for anyone under 18 years of age.
