Teri Rigell has been a resident of Hampton Roads for over 29 years. She and her husband, Scott Rigell, were the founders of Freedom Automotive and previously owned dealerships in Chesapeake, Hampton, Norfolk and Virginia Beach.
Scott Rigell was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in November 2010. He is now retired. Teri enjoyed working alongside him to serve the residents of Virginia’s Second Congressional District.
Teri is actively involved in the Hampton Roads community. She has supported and volunteered with many local charities, including The Judeo Christian Outreach Center and The Crisis Pregnancy Center, and served as a mentor through Reaching Our Communities, Inc. She and Scott are members at Trinity Church in Virginia Beach, where she has been very involved in both the women’s and children’s ministries. Teri currently serves on the Board of Directors for Teens With a Purpose and on the Board of Directors for Chesapeake Bay Academy. She has also served on the Board of Directors at Norfolk Christian Schools.
She and Scott are the parents of four grown children: Lindsey, Mallory, Justus and Shannon. They also have two fine sons-in-law, O.E. and Jackson, and three grandchildren, Parks, Reese and Cade.
