Angelia Williams is the Vice Mayor of the City of Norfolk.  Angelia Marie Williams was born and raised in Norfolk. She attended St. Mary’s Academy (K-8) and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1990. She received an A.S. in Business Administration from Tidewater Community College in 2004. Angelia graduated from the University of Virginia’s Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership in 2005 and from the Alpha School of Real Estate in 2008.

Angelia has worked for the City of Norfolk in the Office of the Commissioner of the Revenue and the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office. She holds a current Real Estate license and is a Realtor© with Prudential Towne Realty©. Angelia is a member in good standing with the National Realtors© Association (NAR), Virginia Association of Realtors© (VAR), Hampton Roads Realtors© Association (HRRA) and the Real Estate Information Network (REIN). She holds designations of Short Sale & Foreclosure Resource (SFR) and Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR). She is also a member of the Real Estate Buyer’s Association Council. Angelia is a certified VHDA Home Ownership Education Trainer and teaches homeownership education classes monthly for the House of Hope Foundation.

Angelia is the Co-Chairperson of the committee for Communities and Public Safety and a member of the committee for Health, Education and Families. She serves on the Lambert’s Point/Park PlaceTask Force, Fairmont Park Task Force, Greater Norview Task Force, Southside Task Force and the Greater Wards Corner Task Force. Angelia is a member of the Ingleside Civic League and the Norfolk City Democratic Committee, where she is a former Assistant Precinct Captain for the Ingleside Precinct. She was appointed to the Norfolk Public Libraries Board of Trustees in 2003 and served until being elected to City Council in 2010. Since 2004, Angelia has been a member of the Young Leader’s Society of the Hampton Roads United Way.

Angelia is the youngest daughter of the late Bishop & Mrs. I. Joseph Williams and is a member of Grove Baptist Church. She has two siblings, Rev. Pamela W. Castellanos and Rev. Anthony M. Williams.
