2016 Hampton Roads Youth Poetry Festival

TWP fuels up for another captivating season of powerful youth voice with the Power Tour Concert Series and the 8th Annual Hampton Roads Youth Poetry Festival. The Olympic style poetry slam competition showcases the creative genius of young artists, poets, and emerging world changers from around Hampton Roads ages 13-19. Young writers, emcees, spoken word artists and performers take the stage to tell their stories. This festival helps youth to find, develop, apply and publicly present their voices as agents of social change. Those competing at the grand slam have qualified through a series of slams held throughout Hampton Roads. Grand Slam poets have the opportunity to represent Hampton Roads at various Youth Poetry Slam’s throughout the country! Pre-register now!
